I leave for Nicaragua on Sunday. My intention is to document all the interesting things about life in Central America in this journal, at least all the things that I'm leaving out of my novel.
The working title of my novel is "The Move Inside," so I think "The Move Outside" is an appropriate title here, as it my hope that I won't obsess over the turns of phrase in this journal before making them public.
My other hope is that by telling a few stories and taking a few photos I'll seduce all of you to come and visit some time before June of 2008, when I will return to the States. I'm serious about that: once I have an apartment, you're all welcome to stay with me.
